For those who have been keeping up with Filly Funtasia news, you might be familiar with the three episodes that were released in English a year ago. Now, with the third anniversary of the show's debut in Italian television just around the corner, we're seeing some exciting news!
The show was spotted days ago on the schedule of Channel 5, a free broadcast TV channel from Singapore. Apparently, it premiered last Thursday with the episode The Freshmen, which up to now has been known as episode 14 of season 1 (or episode 1 of season 2, going by the Chinese broadcast order.) New episodes are airing every weekday, in seemingly random order. The next five episodes to air this week, taken from the guide on meWATCH's website, are:Season 1, Episode 3 Farina, The Fire Dragon
Season 1, Episode 4 Teacher For A Day
Season 1, Episode 5 The Blue Rainbow
Season 1, Episode 6 Feathers Appear When Angels Are Near
Season 1, Episode 7 Alone At Last
All episodes are available on VOD on meWATCH's site after they air. Important to note is that both livestream and VOD are region locked to Singapore.
Although we've been seeing English material since the first trailer, this is the first time Filly Funtasia is getting a full broadcast in its original language! What's more, all voices have been changed from previous content, and if you watched the MyToonz release from last year you might notice a few lines have been touched up as well. As of the writing of this post, there's also been one instance of a scene getting cut from the ending of an episode to make it below 25 minutes in length.
